In Stratford, east London, Bouygues UK is building Manhattan Loft Gardens, an emblematic tower rising 143 metres above the ground. Designed by the architects Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM), it will have 42 storeys, containing 248 apartments and lofts, a hotel with 150 rooms, a spa, a triple-height lobby, and two restaurants. Its unique, double-cantilevered structure, supporting three sky gardens, will offer a new take on green spaces and London garden squares while creating an environment that encourages a sense of community and boosts urban diversity.
