Our Fondation

In a continuation of a long tradition of societal commitment, Bouygues Construction has for a long time invested in countries, regions and cities where the Company has a presence with a view to coming to the aid of communities, and integrating itself as far as possible into the local fabric of the community.

The Bouygues Construction Foundation embodies these values of solidarity with young people and their teachers, acting for equity in education and knowledge transfer, an universal challenge in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal No. 4.

MOBILIZE FOR EQUITY IN EDUCATION AND KNOWLEDGE TRANSFER

This choice reflects our convictions and our corporate culture, which is intentionally geared towards integration, mentoring, skills development and the design of training programmes to support and enrich people throughout their careers.

BUILDING FOR LIFE … an objective that makes perfect sense
We are builders of places and living connections, and our projects only have meaning because of the way they are used.
Our foundation complements our activities by supporting targeted, high-impact local initiatives to help children and teenagers gain access to quality education and build their lives.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

The Foundation's work is focused on two areas:

1. Key partnerships that reflect our new approach

  • In France, the Foundation has joined forces with the Fédération Nationale des Ecoles de Production (FNEDP) – a network of technical teaching establishments that works to prevent school drop-outs. The Foundation supports the training of vocational teachers and investment in equipment for vocational workshops in eight targeted schools near our main regional sites.
  • Internationally, the Foundation is working alongside  the Institut Européen de Coopération et de Développement (IECD) (an international solidarity organisation) in Morocco and Côte d'Ivoire. The Foundation is helping to roll out diploma courses for young people from disadvantaged backgrounds, as well as contributing to investment in equipment for technical centres, training for teaching staff and careers guidance for students after training.

2. A call for projects which engages the company's employees in the countries where we operate.

  • ‘Sponsor’ employees present a project and volunteer to monitor its progress. 12 winning projects will be funded in 2024!
  • On a local level and according to need, employees can also take part in the running of a winning project through skills sponsorship.
