The consortium, led by Bouygues Travaux Publics, has been chosen for the fourth civil engineering contract for the southern part of Line 15 of the Grand Paris Express!
The new section of Line 15 South
Bouygues Travaux Publics, as well as companies Soletanche Bachy France, Soletanche Bachy Tunnels, BESSAC and SADE, were chosen for the most significant contract of the Grand Paris Express. It was awarded to them at the beginning of the project by Société du Grand Paris. The awarding of this major contract marks the beginning of the massive construction project in 2017 that is the Grand Paris Express!
The civil engineering works will be executed on the section between the Villejuif Louis-Aragon and Créteil l’Échat stations. They will include civil engineering works to build four stations (Créteil l’Échat, Vert de Maisons, Les Ardoines and Vitry Centre); boring a two-lane tunnel; a launch shaft for two tunnel boring machines (at Arrighi wasteland, in Vitry-sur-Seine); five ancillary works; a disconnecting structure between Line 15 South and the connection to the infrastructure maintenance site (IMS) at Vitry-sur-Seine; the connection to the IMS made up of a bored single-lane tunnel; a covered cutting; and an open cutting.
Hundreds of jobs
As with all contracts awarded by Société du Grand Paris, this one stipulates that at least 20% of works are to be carried out by SMEs, and 5% of working hours will be set aside for people in professional integration programmes.
