Bouygues Construction launches company university
Bouygues Construction has officially launched "Bouygues Construction University", an off-site company university that provides a global range of training offers and resources for all Group managers worldwide. The new school reflects Bouygues’ ambition to further enhance its training policy, notably by taking account of the profound changes in the needs and behaviour of its employees, especially the youngest among them.
Bouygues Construction University first of all will be a training space in which managers take control of their future by gaining an overarching view of training courses available to them. University training courses will concern all the Group’s business lines and functions, covering management, project management, financial control, technology, human resources, sustainable development, property development, legal affairs, accounting and purchasing.
Bouygues Construction University will also be a place for sharing, with collaborative tools, network work areas, contact with personalities (at special meetings) and access to IT and learning resources.
Lastly, Bouygues Construction University will serve to optimise our training policy, which represents some 40 million euros in investment – or 4.9% of payroll – each year in France.
Practically speaking, each employee becomes a member of the University after completing a training course there. On average, more than 400 Bouygues Construction executives will join the University every year.
Yves Gabriel, Chairman and CEO of Bouygues Construction, said, "Bouygues Construction University will be an interactive training area, a place for sharing and networking, and a tool for strengthening our training policy. By boosting our appeal and our employees’ performance, Bouygues Construction University will make a strong contribution to our competitiveness and become a major differentiation feature that is vital to our future success."
