D3 awarded a PPP contract for the Troissereux bypass north of Paris

On January 13, 2014, D3 Société de la déviation de Troissereux, a consortium formed for the Troissereux bypass including Colas Nord-Picardie (a Colas company), DTP Terrassement and Bouygues TP Régions France (Bouygues Construction companies), and LIRI (100% indirect subsidiary of HICL Infrastructure Company Limited, a London Stock Exchange listed investment company), signed a 25-year PPP (Public-Private Partnership) contract with the Conseil Général de l'Oise, to finance, design, build, maintain and operate the Troissereux bypass.
Slated to last 35 months, the work will be performed by a building consortium involving project leader Colas Nord-Picardie (34%), Bouygues TP Régions France (33%) and DTP Terrassement (33%). This will include the construction of a 7-km section of 2-lane road, 4 engineering structures as well as a 275-meter long cut-and-cover tunnel, for an initial investment of 62 million euros.
Once the section has been opened up to traffic, maintenance, operation and major repairs and upgrades will be performed by Aximum, a Colas company, for a duration of 22 years.
